Police stuff all sorted now (7 hours spent in a police station yesterday!) so we´re focusing on enjoying ourselves again. Tomorrow we´ve planned a tour of the famous canal and then we´re leaving the big bad city for a quiet town nearby. We have both been pretty impressed by Panama City, though. It´s an incredible mix of shiny new skyscrapers on one side of the bay and crumbling Colonial architecture on the other. Food has been great here, too, a really cosmopolitan variety of restaurants. The people (with a few obvious exceptions!) have been friendly and welcoming and we´re looking forward to getting to know more of Panama.
